Following success of our recent hydrotherapy projects, the Bolton News ran a story “Pooling resources to save hydro treatment”. The article outlines our recent hydrotherapy pilot studies, when we provided a 5-week course of hydrotherapy to 44 people with a variety of neurological conditions in the Bolton and Greater Manchester area.

During the Bolton Neuro Voices (BNV) AGM on 23 January, Marie Oxtoby outlined the project to members of the BNV and Greater Manchester Neurological Alliance, as well as to local healthcare professionals. We then presented results from the sessions, and participants spoke of their experiences during the hydrotherapy programme, which was very well received. The team are now working towards options for providing a more long-term hydrotherapy service for patients with neurological conditions – watch this space!
