At SP Therapy Services, Community Rehabilitation is our business and our team are passionate about supporting people living with neurological conditions to meet their potential. However we recognise that not everyone is in a position were they can access private rehabilitation.
Sadly the NHS provision of Community Rehabilitation falls woefully short of the needs of the population, and this is despite evidence that rehabilitation is both cost effective and clinically effective.
As a Practice we actively support the UK Acquired Brain Injury Forum and are delighted to support them and our professional bodies The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists who have collaborated with others to produce Manifesto for Community Rehabilitation.

Their call is for equal access to high quality , person centred community rehabilitation. The manifesto cites the alarming shortage of Community Rehabilitation including the fact that according to data produced by the Neurological Alliance 44% of people living with a neurological condition do not have access to Community Rehabilitation and 13% of people who need physiotherapy cannot get access to it.
