On Wednesday 19th June 2019 the Team at SP Therapy Services got together to discuss the Rehabilitation Code 2015 from a Solicitors and Case Managers perspective.
Our Speakers Matt Garson & Richard Briggs from Irwin Mitchell described how the Rehab Code should work in theory from a litigator’s perspective whilst Sue Brown from Browns Case Management described the role of the Case Manager and the practicalities of working under the Rehab Code. There were lots of opportunities for our Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to ask questions and share experiences and frustrations.
The key message was that collaborative working and effective communication from all parties gets the best outcome for the client who should always be at the centre of the process. Everyone agreed it had been a very informative & thought provoking training event.
Thanks to all our speakers for their insightful presentations.
An additional thank you to Jonathan Betts from Irwin Mitchell who shared his extensive experience of working under the Rehab Code with us.
Following the session, Matthew Garson of Irwin Mitchell said:
“Delighted today to talk to SP Therapy Services’ Team today with Browns Case Management about the rehabilitation code, collaborative working and how it should work to benefit our clients both short and long term!”
