On 7th October 2016 Sue Altham attended ‘Introduction to Therapeutic Riding’ in Scropton, Derbyshire. Delivered by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Therapeutic Riding and  Hippotherapy (CPTRH), in conjunction with the Riding For The Disabled (RDA) this was an informative and thought provoking day.

Sue commented ‘As a rider myself I have always recognised the role of the horse in promoting physical health and mental well being and have utilised this knowledge with my clients. The motion of the horse mimics pelvic rhythm in human walking and as such provides significant opportunity to provide movement and balance experience not afforded elsewhere. I look forward to building on the skills learned to develop this area further within the practice.Who knows – maybe I will even get Sue P  on a pony one day!’
