Karen joined the Practice in September 2016. She has dedicated her career to working with children and young adults.

Karen is a children’s and young adults Occupational Therapist with 25 years plus experience. She describes her key skill as being able to listen and her extensive knowledge base and compassionate approach are reassuring for families & professionals alike. She has experience of working in a variety of settings including hospital and the community.
Prior to joining the practice, Karen worked for Alder Hey Children’s Foundation Trust where she was a highly specialised OT in the neuromuscular service, supporting children and their families with complex conditions across the North West and Wales.
In 2014 Karen was presented with the Alder Hey Achievers Award for her work with children with complex seating needs. Karen is passionate about using her problem-solving skills to find solutions to enable young people to participate in the activities that are important to them. She enjoys helping parents and support teams work to maximise a child’s engagement in daily life.
Karen is a member of the College of Occupational Therapists & is registered to the Health & Care Professions Council, the regulatory body that upholds the standards of practice for professions allied to medicine.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys the great outdoors and is actively involved in her local Explorer Scout Unit in which she supports young people to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Award. Karen’s full CV is available on request.
