Specialist Skills & Expertise
Jane re-joined Susan Pattison Therapy Services as a Chartered Physiotherapist in November 2020 following an extended period of maternity leave. Jane is based at our newly formed Huddersfield cost centre and will expand our service in West and South Yorkshire.
Jane gained a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy from University of Huddersfield in 2010 and since graduation has worked in a variety of clinical settings, treating patients with neurological diagnoses in an intensive care setting and also a rehabilitation unit. Before joining the SPTS team, Jane had experience working as an Occupational Health Physiotherapist specialising in ergonomics.
Following the birth of her second daughter in 2018, Jane gained valuable experience working as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist within Chronic rehabilitation utilising the Mat based and Reformer Pilates method which not only works towards gaining and maintaining strength, flexibility and mobility but also focusses on breathing control and whole body mindfulness. Jane has re joined the SPTS team to bring her new skills into Neurological Rehabilitation.
Jane says, ‘My love for neurology first began when I worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant within neurological rehabilitation. It was this role that spurred me on to go to university and qualify as a Physiotherapist. I thrive on the challenges that working within this role provides. The team at Susan Pattison Therapy Services encompass a variety of different skill sets and working within such an experienced team enables me to consolidate and challenge my current skills and continue to further develop my knowledge within neurology.’
Jane is developing her professional skill base through active participation in in-house training and supervision.
