Franki joined the Practice in 2015. She is an experienced Occupational Therapist who, having qualified in 1986, has extensive experience of working within the community.
Franki worked as part of a neurological rehabilitation team; predominantly as a specialist in Acquired Brain Injury.
She is dedicated to assisting clients to achieve their highest potential and is effective in team working and motivating others. Franki is proficient in the treatment and management of:
Brain Injury · Stroke · MS · Parkinson’s Disease · Multiple injuries & pathologies · Dementia & Elderly Care
Franki’s quiet and holistic approach is warm and gentle, enabling her to engage with patients and families who are perhaps struggling to accept their situation.
Franki says “I believe that everyone should have access to Occupational Therapy to enable them to reach their potential and continue to do what they love doing, wherever possible.”
Franki has recently become our Cognitive Champion. This exciting new addition to her role allows her to continue to build on her skills in Cognitive Rehabilitation. Additional research and training are enabling
Franki to keep up to date with the latest developments; to champion the needs of her clients with cognitive difficulties and to act as a resource for the whole team.
Franki is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and is registered to the Health & Care Professions Council, the regulatory body that upholds the standards of practice for professions allied to medicine.
Outside of work, Franki has a daughter who shares her love of the outdoors. Franki is a member of a wild swimming group and sings in an a capella group. She has an interest in mindfulness as a relaxation technique.
