Falling or the fear of falling ruins quality of life for many family members. Falls are the primary reason people visit our A&E departments.
A large percentage of people who fall sustain an acquired brain injury. Many people living with an acquired brain injury, a stroke or another neurological condition are at risk of falling.
The main cause of falls is muscle weakness and poor balance, in our 6 week Falls Prevention Course we focus on strength and balance, improving confidence and reducing both the risk and fear of falling.
