We’re delighted to share the achievements of our patient Callum. Now 15 years old, Callum had a traumatic brain injury in 2008, which has left him with movement problems in the left side of his body.
Callum has worked very hard to overcome any difficulties, and in particular he has put his efforts into swimming. Callum has made great progress in this area, and just over 6 months ago he joined the swimming academy Burnley Bobcats. Callum has recently been classified as an S9 swimmer, and since joining Burnley Bobcats he has developed a great deal, recently beating his personal best time in the 50 m Freestyle by 7 seconds. Callum is determined to achieve his long-term goal of representing Great Britain in the future and continues to apply himself with determination and enjoyment. We wish Callum all the best and look forward to supporting him as he develops his swimming career. Callum’s Physiotherapist is Sue Altham.
